NEW to Born To Dance – Pilates for Mom and baby

March 7th, 2012Site NewsBorn To Dance is now offering a 30min Pilates class for Moms and babies. This class will be offered at the Waterloo location only and runs straight after Salsa Babies.
Pilates is one of the best things a new Mom can do for her body and mind. Pilates will help to restrengthen the pelvic floor muscles which go through so much during labour. It will help you regain awareness and strength of the core muscles (back, abdominal, hips) help you realign and create a balance in the body. All of this will be achieved while you interact and connect with your baby.
This class will be primarily a mat class, however some of the standing repertoire will be used. Exercises are designed for Mom, but during the class Moms will interact with baby using play, songs and props as she moves through exercises.
